Developed by the São Domingos de Rana Parish Council, the Community Kitchen has no hands to measure, distributing hot meals to those who need it most.

Counting with the Cascais Nucleus of CASA - Homeless Support Center as its main partner, this project supports not only homeless people, but also individuals and families with social vulnerability and/or economic need as well as citizens infected with Covid-19.

Times are challenging, so the good will of the community has been fundamental to ensure that there is no shortage of food needed for meals or volunteers to ensure their preparation and distribution. In a wave of empathy and solidarity, social gear has been able to respond to the increase in requests for help, helping to make a difference in the lives of those most in need, currently ensuring an average of 340 hot meals per day.

Inaugurated on April 25, 2019, in Outeiro de Polima, the main mission of the Community Kitchen is to help others, raising awareness in local communities for the reuse of food products and the promotion of "home cooking", as a form of intergenerational contact between neighbors. In the middle of a pandemic, it counts on the good will of all to carry out its social responsibility.
