The restaurant Porto de Santa Maria, in Guincho, Cascais is still an ambassador of Portuguese gastronomy and wines, in a more contemporary, sophisticated and innovative way that honours this house with 73 years of history.

When it comes to eating fish and seafood in the Lisbon region, the Port of Santa Maria, near Crismina beach, is an unavoidable name. Since 1947, the restaurant has been a landmark in the Cascais area, renewing itself throughout its seven decades of existence. Always combining tradition and modernity, as proven by the most recent intervention.

The unobstructed view of the sea is still a selling point, to which we can now add new features to the menu. The years go by, but the quality remains, reaffirming itself as a safe port for those who want on the table the best that the Portuguese coast offers, accompanied by both national and international wines of excellence.

In a wine cellar with more than a thousand references, the selection goes from Douro to Alentejo, from Dão to Sado, from Bairrada to Australia, passing through Spain and Argentina. Highlights include Barca Velha, Côtto Grande Escolha or Pêra-Manca, which are part of wine history in Portugal, in addition to a vast collection of rare Ports, almost every year since 1931, allowing each person to find the right bottle to celebrate their birthday. Currently, the space can include a private tasting table and wine cellars, where customers can not only keep their wines, but also enjoy the advantageous conditions of the house to purchase them.

Open to guided tours, the wine cellar also has many interesting stories about the nectars of the Gods. The tasting room is open to wine tasting, or exclusive lunches and dinners, in an environment where the light and the disposition of the bottles compose a magical and involving setting.
