With a remarkable legacy of diving watches and over a century of experience in "sonnerie" watches, Jaeger-LeCoultre has just launched new Polaris Mariner watches.

The two machines were presented to the world through the short film "In A Breath", in which the actor Benedict Cumberbatch draws the parallel between his long meditation practice and diving. And the impact that both have on our notion of time, in a deep connection with nature.

In the depths of the underwater realm, divers focus on the moment and the environment that surrounds them, the rhythm of their own breathing and the alarm clock they have on their wrist. It will be difficult to choose between the two versions of Polaris Mariner, characterized by a magnificent blue degraded dial and superior levels of watertightness as the high performance professional dive.

Retro-inspired, but adjusted to modern times, the Polaris line was born in 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Polaris Memovox of 1968. A landmark in six models: the Polaris Memovox (a reissue of the original limited to 999 copies), the Polaris Automatic, the Polaris Date, the Polaris Chronograph, the Polaris Geographic Worldtimer and the Polaris Chronograph WT. Now, the Polaris Mariner confirm the sporty but elegant character. Since its introduction 70 years ago, Memovox has been present in watches for use in underwater sports or more urban lifestyles.

With the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Date and Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Memovox, the Swiss brand is ready to "take the legend back to the bottom of the sea".
