“The Tom & T-Rex" original watch takes us back to pre-historic times, but has a very current mission. This piece was the way Swiss watchmakers MB&F and L'Epée 1839 contributed to the biennial charity auction “Only Watch.” Promoted by the association of the same name, the event has the support of the Monegasca Association against Myopathies and of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Every two years, it offers an opportunity for lovers of haute horlogerie to contribute financially to medical and scientific research into neuromuscular disorders and particularly Duchene muscular dystrophy (DMD) through the acquisition of true masterpieces. The dark grey and blue colours of the “Only Watch 2019” edition shine through this minimalist yet meaningful piece, perfect for any table.

The Murano glass dial eyepiece is supported by muscular steel legs with a sharp claw paw like T-Rex. At the top of the clock is the sculpted body of a boy named Tom. The representative of Duchene's muscular dystrophy children has found a new friend in the T-Rex, who takes him on his back to an adventurous world, offering moments of evasion in a metaphor alluding to hope. The hand-wound mechanical movement was designed and manufactured by L'Epée 1839, attesting to the piece's quality and exclusivity, available in three editions limited to one hundred units each, with green, blue and red dials. You need to be faster than a T-Rex to acquire them.
