“The northern gastronomy in Portugal is deliciously seducing and there are spaces that really are worth getting to know. In Peso da Régua, in the middle of Douro, I experienced modern and creative suggestions, born out of the flavors of the region, in “Castas & Pratos” restaurant. Born in a restored warehouse from the train station, with bar and gourmet store services, I was delighted with the details, as well as the kindness from the hosts, cousins Edgar Gouveia and Manuel Osório, who so well made the honors of a house where I feel like revisiting soon.”
