At Bvlgari Resort & Residences Dubai, everything was designed with luxury in mind, but it is Italian elegance that so well defines the brand that makes this hotel the most exclusive, the most luxurious and the most expensive in Dubai. Here, everything is the most. The fifth Bvlgari resort, developed in partnership with the Meraas group, opened on 7 December and a veritable constellation of international stars was there to mark the ribbon-cutting ceremony with pomp and circumstance. It has private residences, as well as mansions, and naturally there is also a marina right next door for 50 boats, the Bvlgari Yacht Club.

Everything involved in the construction of the Bvlgari Resort & Residences Dubai is the antithesis of frugality. It’s located on Jumeira Bay Island, an island with an area of around 558,000 m2, in the shape of a seahorse, built and developed in only two years. Just a few minutes away from some of the main attractions and the heart of the city, this is the oasis that was missing in the paradise called Dubai. In all, it has 101 suites, one more luxurious than the next, harmoniously distributed over four floors and with direct access to the bay. But that’s not all. There are also 20 villas, operated by the MarriottRitz-Carlton group. They are all furnished with items brought from Italy and have a swimming pool, outdoor terraces and a personal butler service. Take your pick. And there is always the guarantee of maximum privacy, for greater customer satisfaction. In all, the resort has a total area of 158,000 m2 and there is also a spa, a fitness room and six restaurants. The Japanese restaurant, for example, seats only eight people.

You can see the Midas touch here. This impressive undertaking represents an investment of one billion dollars. The new complex was designed by the Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners architecture studio, with clearly visible Mediterranean influence and careful décor, as is the case in all the other Bvlgari hotels. And there’s more to come. After the inaugural experience in Milan in2004, Bali (2006), London (2012), Beijing last September and now Dubai, the growth and expansion strategy is set to continue. New luxury resorts are due to open in Shanghai, China next year and in Moscow in 2020. Added to all this, Bvlgari has also opened restaurants in Japan, in Tokyo and Osaka. Are you ready to check-in?
