The watch that came from space
With its intergalactic design, the Starfleet Explorer has revolutionized the way we tell time. This sophisticated table clock, a joint creation between MB&F and the Swiss brand L’Epée, is the accessory you will want to have in your home office. As well as indicating the hours and minutes, it also presents an intriguing animation in which three spaceships perform an orbit of around five minutes around the station. The hours and minutes are indicated by two discs, an aperture and a brightly colored hand. More specifically, the minutes – visible on a kind of revolving radar dish – appear in the center of a fixed metal aperture, satin-brushed by hand, which follows the curved contour of the dome. In turn, the hour dial appears just below and remains motionless. An hour hand indicates the hours by spinning in place, completing an entire hour around the disc every 12 hours.
