Born amidst the Portuguese State of Emergency due to Covid 19, Januca is the dream come true of 25-year-old Andreia Nunes. The brand started by having an online presence and, this summer, it finally took shape in the form of an original lifestyle space in Seixal, Setúbal.

“Creativity has always been very present throughout my life,” says the businesswoman, who was also one of the first certified cake-designers in Portugal. With over 90,000 followers on Instagram, Andreia always noticed great interest from her audience in the way she dressed. “I lived in Monaco for a while and then in England, and people would ask a lot of questions about the clothes I was wearing, which often had a different design and texture.”

And it was precisely the curiosity of her followers on social media that was the main driver of Januca, an exclusive concept that comprises the initials of her son Jaden's name. “When I returned to Portugal, I wanted to launch my own brand dedicated to ambitious women, with a good amount of self-confidence, and who believe in their own beauty,” she explains confidently.

In the meantime, Andreia ended up completing a course in Fashion Design and began to design her own casual-chic pieces now available at Januca. The executive style dominates in this Spring/Summer collection, a gap that, according to the designer and businesswoman, existed in the Portuguese market. This is certainly a collection to “explore” with pieces that make the difference to any woman's wardrobe.
